What's happening this week
All five senses are switched on in all three babies now, and they turn toward light and toward voices they know — yours especially. They're padding on a couple of hundred grams each, week after week, getting rounder and readier.
Positions are starting to matter. Whoever has settled lowest is likely to lead the way out, though triplets have a well-earned reputation for shuffling the lineup right up until the end.
Three little wonders this week
- All five senses are up and running — from here it's mostly about growing bigger and stronger.
- They can track a bright light moving across your belly, taking in the world through your skin.
- Their lungs are steadily brewing the substance that will let them take that first big breath.
The triplet twist
Triplets are almost always delivered by a planned caesarean, so unlike a singleton pregnancy, you likely won't wait around for labour to start on its own — you'll probably be handed a date to circle instead.
Something to look forward to
- Next week is when the triplet delivery window typically opens.
- 3 weeks to 34 weeks, the week many trios choose to arrive.
- Hospital bag, car seats, nursery tour — this month's happy to-do list.
To Mom:
Every week from here helps your babies grow stronger. You're doing the invisible, daily work of a lifetime — and you're doing it well.
