What's happening this week
Three little skeletons are hardening fast, borrowing calcium straight from your bones, so it's no wonder you might feel it in your own frame these days. Their heads are growing steadily too, making room for brains working overtime.
The kicks feel sharper now, more like pokes and jabs than the old rolling waves, simply because there is nowhere left for a foot to travel. Ribs, hips, bladder — everyone gets a turn being nudged.
Three little wonders this week
- Between the three of them, they're quietly pulling a good deal of calcium from you every day to build their bones.
- Their heads are growing to fit brains that have tripled in size since week 20 — big thoughts already brewing.
- All three are starting to manage a bit of their own body warmth, though they still need snuggling up close once they arrive.
The triplet twist
Breathlessness, heartburn and rib aches are almost a given with triplets by now, since your bump has reached a size a singleton pregnancy never quite gets to. Small meals and propping yourself up at night genuinely help.
Something to look forward to
- 3 weeks until 32 weeks.
- Many teams pencil in the delivery date around now — you might leave an appointment soon with an actual birthday circled on the calendar.
To Mom:
Sleep might be getting creative right now. Pile the pillows, accept help, and remember that uncomfortable usually means progress in a triplet pregnancy.
