What's happening this week

They're starting to look like miniature newborns now — wrinkled, rosy, and covered in soft downy hair, with lips and eyelids fully sketched in. Their sense of touch is sharp enough that they're exploring their own little faces.

Your body is doing a lot of quiet, heroic work carrying three, so any pressure, cramping, or change you notice is always worth a call to your team — never a bother, just good sense.

Three little wonders this week

  • Each baby's inner ear is complete now, giving them a sense of balance so they know when they're upside down.
  • Their brains have entered a real growth spurt that keeps going right through to birth.
  • Lungs are busy building their branching network of airways, ready for the day they'll need them.

The triplet twist

It's common for triplet mums to spend some time in hospital before delivery for extra monitoring — knowing that ahead of time can make it feel like part of the plan rather than an emergency.

Something to look forward to

  • 2 weeks to go until the viability milestone.
  • If an early arrival looks possible, your team may talk to you soon about lung-boosting steroid shots — a good thing to ask about now.

To Mom:

You are becoming an expert at listening to your body, and that intuition is such a powerful tool. Trust in the care you are receiving, and know that you are not alone in this—you are doing exactly what you need to for your trio.
