Week 15
Each baby is about the size of an apple this week
- Weight each
- 70 g · 2 oz
- Length each
- 10.1 cm · 4.0 in
What's happening this week
Their skin is still delicate and see-through enough that you could trace the tiny map of blood vessels underneath if you were peering that closely. All three are starting to sense light through closed eyelids now, even in the dark.
You may already be measuring like someone much further along carrying just one baby — and that's simply what three little bodies and three placentas look like from the outside. Your bump gets to write its own rules.
Three little wonders this week
- Legs have finally outgrown arms for the first time on all three.
- Tiny ears are settling into their final spot, and the bones inside are hardening — the very first steps toward hearing you.
- Each one is making their own little puddle of fluid and drinking it back in, practising for later.
The triplet twist
Comparing your bump to a standard week-by-week app is a losing game — with three on board, you're commonly running several weeks ahead of what a single-baby pregnancy would look like. Your curve is entirely, wonderfully its own.
Something to look forward to
- Movement is often felt somewhere between weeks 16 and 20 with triplets, so it could be as soon as next week.
- Cervical length checks are likely to start within the next few weeks, just as a caring precaution.
To Mom:
Your babies are starting to sense light and hear the world through you, their safe and steady anchor. You are doing something extraordinary, carrying these three apples with so much love and resilience.
